The past 2 fundraisers have been amazing. The weather was perfect for each of the past two events, The JJ Nicastro Fun Day 4 Kidz at Gorton's of Gloucester and The JJ Nicastro Benefit at Captain Carlo's. Thank you to both Gorton's of Gloucester and Captain Carlo's for being so generous throughout the years. Businesses like these is what charity is all about. Please become a regular patron of Gorton's and Captain Carlo's because they give so much back to the local youth. The JJ Nicastro Fun Day 4 Kidz at Gorton's raised $5,525 and the The JJ Nicastro Benefit at Captain Carlo's raised $5,215. Thank you all for your help and generosity.

We raised $4,400 at the 2009 Gloucester Pride Stride. There were many contributors to this great achievement. We thank you all for being so generous in such a tough economic time. We are currently in the process of reviewing and picking this years college scholarship recipients. There are so many deserving students that it's hard to narrow down the field, but it's your generosity that allows The JJ Nicastro Foundation the opportunity to give back to so many local children. Thanks again for all your help and thoughtfulness throughout the year.

The JJ Nicastro Foundation doesn't only award scholarships, the foundation raised thousands at The Pride Stride, participated in The Relay for Life by donating money to The American Cancer Society and also gave generous donations to The Gloucester Stage Co. The JJ Nicastro Foundation is a well rounded foundation which likes to contribute to good causes across the board. We are working on a Mentor Program for the Cape Ann area. The contributions the foundation provides are vast. Donations don't always have to be monetary. If you would like to get involved please contact us.

It's expensive for families to pay for athletic fees, equipment, college and even sometimes a hearty turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. Places like Captain Carlos, Jalapenos and Gorton's, who allow us to use their establishment to raise funds, are what charity is all about. The JJ Nicastro Foundation gave back to the community this past year by giving college and athletic scholarships to deserving students and purchasing Thanksgiving dinners for families in need. Our goal is to give between $25,000-$30,000 per year in scholarships, dinners and whatever else we see fit. Your donations are giving back directly to the children of this community. It's wrong for a child not to play sports because his parents can't afford it. So let's make it a goal to raise enough money that all children have a chance to make the team.
